Thing #4: Image Sharing

Flickr

Flickr is an application that allows you to share photos with online communities while also using keyword tags to connect you with a group of people.  Using Flickr was very easy and internet friendly.  I was able to set it up with my yahoo account.  I had a choice to use photos already taken or take a photo to upload to the profile. I was also able to edit the pictures within the application.
The first photo I used  to experiment with was taken of my daughter napping.  After snapping the photo I was able to choose a filter and edited right away.  I believe I used the color vive effect.  Once I was finished editing the picture it allowed me to add a caption which I labeled as "napping" if you use the hash tag symbol right before the title it will connect you to that particular network, #napping.  In this same section it also allowed me to add a location, create an album or place picture in a particular album, and adjust privacy setting before proceeding to share.  With sharing you could connect it to your personal Facebook or Twitter.  To finalize the final product I press the share button and just like that it connects it to everyone that is connected on your account.  On top of all that the account is free.  Flickr is filled with a lot of qualities that I have yet to discover.  I love to take, save, and share pictures.  This application allows me to do it all.
